ABSENTEE BALLOT FOR NOVEMBER ELECTION

As the COVID-19 Pandemic continues to progress, voting by mail for the November election is a virtually risk-free option to ensuring your vote is counted. Please submit a request to your county auditor for an Absentee Ballot in Iowa for the November Election.

Make plans right now to vote either from home or in person. If voting in person, bring a chair, a snack, your mask, and your patience. Expect long lines.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS BEGIN MAILING OUT OCTOBER 5

Your 2020 Absentee Ballot will arrive soon. Follow the instructions to make sure it counts.

Option 1: Vote At Home, Return Your Ballot By Mail: Complete your absentee ballot with a BLACK INK PEN, Insert your ballot into the envelope and seal it, Sign and date the outer envelope (YOU MUST DO THIS FOR OUR BALLOT TO BE COUNTED), and, to ensure it arrives on time, it is recommended to mail your completed, signed, and dated ballot NO LATER than OCTOBER 24. (Just mail it right away!)

Option 2: Vote At Home, Return Your Ballot In Person: Complete your absentee ballot with a BLACK INK PEN, Insert your ballot into the envelope and seal it, Sign and date the outer envelope (YOU MUST DO THIS FOR YOUR BALLOT TO BE COUNTED), Drop off at your County Auditor’s office – bring your completed ballot to your Auditor in person before the polls close on Election Day.
